Axel Void | Alejandro Hugo Dorda Mevs

known under the pseudonym Axel Void, was born in Miami, United States in 1986. His biographical roots are in Haiti, Miami and Andalusia, as a descendant of a Haitian mother and a Spanish father. He currently resides in Cadiz, Spain.

The main interest in Axel’s work arises from human behaviour and the interrelational narrative to which art contributes as a form of communication. It adopts different media such as photography, drawing, painting, sculpture, cinema, installation, music, writing, or curating as tools to intervene inside and outside the conventional exhibition space.

 

conocido bajo el pseudónimo Axel Void, nace en Miami, Estados Unidos en 1986. Sus raíces biográficas se encuentran en Haití, Miami y Andalucía, descendiente de madre haitiana y padre español. Actualmente reside en Cádiz, España.

El interés principal de la obra de Axel surge del comportamiento humano y la narrativa interrelacional a la que el arte contribuye como forma de comunicación. Adopta distintos medios como la fotografía, el dibujo, la pintura, la escultura, el cine, la instalación, la música, la escritura, o el comisariado como herramientas para intervenir dentro y fuera del espacio expositivo convencional.
