Still life
Faroe Islands
August, 2021

Painted this still life on an old cottage in the countryside in the Faroe Islands. Spent a lot of time isolated here. It is made out of wood and concrete and it’s occasionally used to keep the sheep. It has a second floor full of hay and a small window. The view around is vast and beautiful. There are no trees, large bodies of water and huge mountains that are lush and green. Did a few still life paintings in the area and chose to do one on this house of what I could see directly to the right of the wall.

AknowledgementsSpecial thanks to Gøtulist , Bardurdc and Trodlart for organizing and putting everything together. To the amazing Jacoba for her friendship and for making it happen and to Natalia Lasso and Gabriela Ayza  for their proximity during this experience.
