Delhi, India

This piece is part of the “Mediocre” series. It’s in a very vivid, charming, poor and eclectic neighborhood called Khirkee, where people from different religions and nationalities live. It is situated right next to a big mall on the other side of the road which creates an awkward contrast.

The image of which the mural is based on is a shot from the train of the rooftops of Delhi.

The piece is painted on the side of an ironing shop- behind this wall is where all the clothes are dyed. Every morning, the lady that runs this shop makes the fire for her coal iron, while the vendor sits his cart next to her to sell fruits. This piece is a tribute to every day life.
