When I was twelve a group of friends and I squatted an abandoned cultural center in Cadiz, Spain. We kicked out the drug addicts, cleaned the place, stole electricity, painted and hung out there all day. This was part of the reason why two years after, the city hall decided to break down the building instead of reusing it.
Fifteen years later, I’m happy to be part of a project where painting is helping avoid this process. Art | History – Friends of Miami Marine Stadium Mural Project is funding the rehabilitation of the abandoned Miami Marine Stadium, for public use.
