Play

Stavanger, Norway.
This mural is painted in the playground of the St Johannes Kindergarten. It depicts a boy holding a house he built out of small wooden sticks, creating an analogy with the house on which it is painted. This wall was thought out for the kids of the kindergarten. It is a reflection on what playing is and how this practice is carried through out our life in different ways. The word “Klosser” means “blocks” in Norwegian, referring to the toy bricks that children use to build. One of the kids in the kindergarten came up with this word.
Special thanks to the kids, teachers and parents at the St Johannes Kindergarten for their friendship, to Brandon English and Kristina Borhes for their help, to Gabriel and the whole @nuartfestival Crew for their friendship and hospitality.
